Attendance:

Attendance is key for success. We all know that life happens and many things can get in the way of you making it on time for your lesson - or making it at all, but having regular, consistent lessons - even if it is only half an hour - is more effective than having a longer lesson sporadically or infrequently.

Think about how you accomplish your bigger goals in life. They all happen in small steps, your meal is eaten one bite at a time. These small steps - as insignificant as they may seem - are vital to success and have a tremendous impact on the achievement of your goals.

With this in mind, let's try and make this year the most consistent term we've had!

So the summer of 2016 is coming to a rapid close. Some will be celebrating, some will be muttering under their breath but either way - its inevitable - school time!

When the school bell rings, Bell's Studio will also be opening its doors (so... more of a hypothetical "bell" here)! Lessons start the second week of September, September 5. Term 1 will be finished the week of November 7 (last day being November 12), however expect a Christmas recital to be scheduled sometime during the first two weeks of December, so of course extra lessons may be requested and scheduled!

If you are gearing up for your music lessons this term make sure you are equipped with a composition book (just a regular notebook, not a music manuscript book), and a folder for photocopies.  Please come to each lesson on time because a full schedule means teachers cannot stay late after your lesson has ended!

Fees will be due by the second lesson of the term, and you can choose whether you want to pay for the full 10 week term, or half - 5 week term.

To make this year the most effective year for your musical development, start writing goals for yourself - these can range from "I will practice 5 days a week for at least 20 minutes this term" to "I will learn to play 'Stay' by Sam Smith on the piano by the end of this term". But remember these tips for effective goal writing:

Parents, get together with your kids and write some awesome goals together. Make every lesson count!

If you haven't confirmed lessons with me yet, please let me know your intentions for this term so I don't give your time slot away!

See you in a couple of weeks!
